A wonderful 19th century Swansea 'Puzzle Jug' inscribed "Alexander Brown, 1848"
This charming and whimsical object was made to impress and confuse people trying to drink from it. Even with the numerous holes in the body of the jug, by putting ones' fingers over several of the upper spount openings it is possible to drink from it. The jug is further inscribed "Come my lads and try your skill, I'll have you a wager if you will, that out of this you win a drink the liquor all, unless you spill or let some fall." Height 7". Condition: Excellent with no breaks, cracks or repairs.
