An attractive early 18th century hand colored map of the Bordeaux region of France entitled "Le Gouvernement General de Guinne et Gascogne" by Pierre Mortier (1661-1711)
Framed and matted measuring 29" x 25 1/2". Note: Piere Mortier (1661-1711) was a French cartographer, engraver and print seller working in Amsterdam. This map is from the "Atlas Nouveau" and is a single sheet without a centerfold. The map shows the seat of the Bordeaux wine region.
