Item Title: An Exceptionally Fine Double-Barrelled Flintlock Carriage Pistol by 'H.W. Mortimer, Gun-Maker to His Majesty,' circa 1795
Item Description: Having browned twist barrels signed in full and with silver fore-sight, gold-lined touch holes, engraved case hardened tang, signed case-hardened bevelled locks each with safety-catch, figured walnut half-stock, chequered butt with spirally fluted pommel, engraved iron mounts including trigger guard with pineapple finial and original horn-tipped ramrod. Over 80% of the original finish remains. Overall length: 16 1/4" A museum quality piece! Provenance: Wilfrid Ward Collection. For a similar example see H.
