Item Description:

Perhaps the best sailor's box I have ever seen!! Made circa 1865-1880, this fabulous box has all the bells and whistles and is in original untouched condition. The whalebone keyhole escutcheon is in the shape of a heart and flower. The lid has an exotic hardwood inlaid compass rose surmounted by inlaid flags.
