An attractive framed THOMAS JEFFERSON grouping including his original signature circa 1800
It would be hard to find a more attractively framed group of Thomas Jefferson related items, including his original signature which was obviously cut from either a letter or document. There are remnants of what appears to be a black wax seal impression in the upper left corner above his signature. The grouping includes a 19th century photograph of Monticello, a rendering of Jefferson's presidential seal, an engraved brass plate giving a brief history of Jefferson's accomplishments and a reproduction of the most famous portrait of Jefferson. There is also a certificate of authenticity which has been put in a folder on the back side of the frame. The carved wooden frame measures 28 1/2" square.
