A fine and rare early 19th century silver mounted carved coconut shell covered cup on four whale's teeth
This cup was made during the Napoleonic Wars and is hallmarked for the year 1811. It sits on four splayed whale's teeth each having sterling silver disks. The cup itself has two carved displays one of which depicts military weapons, flags and banners. Another one appears to have musical instruments and sheet music. A very rare and historical object.
