Title: A Fine Ship's Passport Signed by Presidents JAMES MADISON and JAMES MONROE and dated Dec. 3, 1811
Description: Signed by JAMES MADISON, THE FOURTH PRESIDENT FROM 1809-1817, and JAMES MONROE (His Secretary of State) and later, the fifth President from 1817-1825. Issued to Commander James Dameron of the Schooner FLY of Baltimore, a ship having two guns and nineteen men. Museum quality framing and matting, including brief engraved biographies of both Madison and Monroe, this fine grouping measures 39 1/2" by 28 1/2".
