Title: A large and impressive pair of French Holster pistols circa 1685
Description: This large and impressive pair of french holster pistols are nearly 20" long. The three-stage barrels are nearly 13" long. The pistols are mounted entirely in steel but have a silver appearance. The highly figured walnut stocks are molded at the breech and around the trigger guards and ramrod pipes. The lockplates are finely engraved with devil's head and the openwork sideplates are adorned with monsters at either end. The barrel tangs are engraved with a head and the spurred butt caps are chiseled in relief. These fabulous pistols are in original condition with no visible repairs and the steel mounts have been polished bright in the European tradition. Complete with a custom designed display stand.
