Sold by Lady Hamilton in 1813 to pay off family debts, this fine and rare 4 compartment silver plated entree dish has the arms of Admiral Nelson, the "N" for Viscount Nelson and the "B" for the Duke of Bronte flanking the Royal Navy fouled anchor surrounded by a wreath. PROBABLY COMMISSIONED BY OR FOR Admiral Nelson in 1801. Width: 16 1/2". Many supporting historical records and correspondence are available to the purchaser. TRULY MUSEUM QUALITY!
