A 19th century painted seaman's chest with original sailor-made beckets and shaped cleats circa 1880

The interior of the lid has what appears to be the original sailor's name in script along with some other notations and drawings. The interior itself has a side mounted 'ditty' box. Height: 17" Length: 33 1/2" Depth: 17"
