A 19th century sailor-made lift-top seachest circa 1840 with fabulous carved cleats and rope beckets

The sea chest retains most of its' original grey-green paint and also has exceptional carved cleats with geometric designs. The ropework beckets are also wonderful. The interior of the lid has a later painted scene featuring a lighthouse and a three-masted ship flying an American flag. Height: 17" Width: 34" Depth: 17"
