A 19th century watercolor and ink painting of a fully rigged English Man-of-War flying the Royal Sovereign indicating that Queen Victoria was onboard the ship.

SOLD

A fine watercolor and ink folk art portrait of an English triple decker 100 gun man-of-war flying the Royal Sovereign circa 1850. The colors are fibrant and rich and the portrait is of the highest quality. Condition: There are a couple of verical creases in the paper on the left side and a small barely noticeable tear in the paper above the ship. In addition, at some point in time, someone brushed over the flags with some preservative leaving a slight shadow behind them. Having said all that, the overall quality and condition is quite good and the picture visually striking. Recently custom framed. Dimensions: 23" by 18"
