A beautiful late 19th century brass signal cannon by R.H. Brown & Co., of New Haven, CT., circa 1890

Recently restored to showroom quality, this very fine example is mounted on a stepped mahogany carriage with lignum vitae wheels. The brass barrel measures 15 3/4" and the overall length is 18". Although I haven't fired off the cannon, I believe it is probably 10 gauge. The sliding breech cover has a broken screw but it does not impede firing (to the best of my knowledge). I am selling this cannon "as is" and advise any propective buyer to consult with a 'black powder' specialist before attempting to load and fire this cannon.
