A beautiful original late 18th or early 19th century watercolor and ink painting of H M S Virginie

Captured from the French in 1796, this famous 44 gun frigate would go on ans serve the British in many naval battles during the Napoleonic Wars until she was sunk in 1827. Framed measuring 23 1/2" by 17 1/2". NOTE: the photos are somewhat distorted due to glare on the glass.
