A contemporary scratch built model of a Beetle Catboat in 1:24 scale by Cape Cod model builder Tom Lauria

A charming highly detailed miniature model of a Beetle Catboat that plied the waters circa 1921. Sturdy, stable, graceful and with a lively sheer, it was the perfect boat for knocking about Nantucket harbor or Pleasant Bay here on Cape Cod. Built by Tom Lauria in 1995, it comes in a custom made case which measures 13 1/4" wide, 12" high and 6 1/4" deep.
