A FABULOUS 19th century silver mounted Sword Cane with Ivory knob circa 1840

I have not seen a nicer example. The cane measures 35 3/4" and the ivory knob is inset with a silver disk with initials in script. The shaft is made out of an exotic hardwood. The sword, or should I say 'dagger' measures 12" long and appears to have beentaken from an American field officer's sword of the 1820-1840 period. The blade is triangular and retains much of its' original fire blue finish with gold etching.
