I have never seen a more attractive maritime themed serving set like this. Made of heavy gauge silver plate, this beautiful set was made by the Elkington Silver Company of Birmingham, England, in 1861. It features Poseidon's head with his flowing beard and his trident below with a sea serpent wrapped around it. The fish (or pie) slice features a large anchor with double blocks hanging below. There is an engraved rope border on the slice along with a vacant shield. The length of the slice is 13 1/2" and the serving fork measures 10 1/2".
