A fine 18th century English pewter charger dated 1745 made by Edward Box of London

Finding good quality dated pewter has never been easy. This nice example was made during the Jacobite uprising of 1745 and may have been dated as a result. In any event, it measures 16 1/2" across and has various owners initials along the border.
