A fine 18th century English "toddy" ladle with inset George II silver one shilling coin dated 1745

A very beautiful example with turned balleen handle. The chased silver bowl features a crown, grapes, flowers and leaves. This toddy ladle dates from a very historic period when 'Bonnie Prince Charlie" and the Battle of Culloden took place. Overall length: 12"
