A fine 19th century French single-draw Captain's telescope with inscription circa 1860

This attractive telescope has a woven horse-hair wrapped barrel and retains both its sliding lens and eye piece covers. Terrific optics. Length open: 35" Closed: 20". There is also a hand written French name or phrase wrapped around the upper part of the barrel.
