Simply amazing and the overall quality is outstanding !! This rare survivor converts from a pistol to a blunderbuss and finally to a musket/rifle. The length of the pistol when assembled is 17" and the blunderbuss measures 24 1/2" when the detachable walnut shoulder stock is screwed on. When the 25 1/2" Damascus steel barrel is screwed on the musket-rifle measures 44" long. The fitted oak carrying case is full of accessories including cleaning implements and powder flasks. The frame is silver (or silver plate) and has been beautifully engraved in the Rococco style so popular in the 1770's and 1780's. The top of the barrel is inscribed "Perry London" and was made by William Perry circa 1780. The blunderbuss barrel terminates in a cannon style muzzle with a 1" bore. The lockplate also features a sliding safety lever. The trigger guard features both a Tudor rose as well as an acorn finial. Overall a rare and beautiful item of museum quality !!
