A Fine and Rare English Sign board for the George Inn Circa 1820

This wonderful and historic wooden innkeeppers sign comes from the George Inn, 'first transfer of innkeeppers license in the year 1397.' Although there are probably dozens of English Inns named the George Inn, this must certainly be one of the earliest known. The sign itself retains much of its' original paint and measures 39" x 26".
