A Fine and Rare French Napoleonic Period Walnut Snuff Box circa 1795

This fine tocacco or snuff box has an allegorical scene on the lid. the box is lined with tortoiseshell. NOTE: an identical box is in the collections of the British Museum and is also illustrated in the Book Of Treen by Edward Pinto, plate 365, item G and is fully described in pages 347-348
