The 12" long pistol itself has a brass frame and octagonal brass barrel with a flared muzzle. The spring bayonet is released by pulling back on the trigger guard. The stock is made of walnut with fine checkering and silver pin head decoration. There is a sliding safety. Both the frame and barrel have unidentified markings, although the Liege mark is quite clear. The case is made of highly figured rosewood and measures 14" by 9 1/2". The blue velvet lining is original but worn in places. Contained in the case are the following: steel bullet mold, patch cutter, rosewood cleaning rod with ivory knob, a cylindrical brass ball carrier, an ebony patch box with inlaid ivory lid, an oil can, a brass powder flask and an ivory mounted screwdriver. The lidded compartment contains extra lead balls and flints. Overall, an attractive cased pistol with all its' original accessories.
