This superb example of an 18th century English officer's fowling gun made by Benjamin and Joseph Griffin, Royal Gunmaker's to His Majesty King George III. The gun dates to circa 1760-1770. Features include silver wire 'rococo' sytle inlay at the breech, ornate brass 'trophy-of-arms' side plate, engraved brass trigger guard, butt plate and escutcheon and highly figured walnut stock.
