A Fine late 17th century English Provincial Engraved Silver Tobacco Box

Probably made in Yorkshire circa 1690, this wonderful engraved tobacco box is inscribed on the bottom "William Prof(s)ser." The lid has a wonderful engraved coat-of-arms with the initials "J D" below. The box has been stamped three times on the side with only the maker's mark. 3 1/2" by 3"
