A Fine Pair of Sterling Silver Mounted Cut Glass Inkwells by Thomas Willmore, London, 1822, 1824

Each measure 2" square by 1 1/2" high, one is hallmarked for the year 1822, the other for the year 1824, both by Thomas Willmore. Both have the owner's crest on the top, "a bent arm holding an arrow surmounted by a crown." Early research indicates that this crest could be that of Thomas, Viscount Headfort, born May 4, 1787 of Ireland, Lord in Waiting to Queen victoria from 1837-1841.
