Made up in the San Francisco style with the blade imported from England and made by William Webster (there were two William Websters working in Sheffield from 1835-1868). The 6 3/4" blade is stamped twice "Websters Celebrated Cutlery." As is typical of the knives from this period, the one piece handle is made of walrus ivory and has a very slight age crack. The blade is also stamped with the initials 'L L M' possibly for the original owner. The overall condition is excellent with no pitting or staining. There is no sheath.
