A spectacular China Trade period brass mounted amboyna wood British Officer's dressing case cirxa 1830

This spectacular box has rounded brass edges and inlaid brass stringing with fleur de lys motifs to the corners. The top brass plate and the escutcheon are shaped to echo the design of the flush brass carrying handles on each side. The box has its' original key. the box is lined in thin green leather and has a removable ebony tray for implements. Height: 6" Width: 12" Depth: 9" Circa 1820-1840
