A Unique large 18th century brass barrel tap action four barrel flintlock volley pistol

This unique volley gun was clearly made to be used by a military or naval officer. It is unsigned and has no proof marks but appears to be English in design dating to circa 1750-1780. The iron parts show gray patina with scattered pitting. The walnut grip shows minor dents and scratches. The barrels measure 5 1/2" long with the overall length of the pistol measuring 12."
