A Unique Large Pair of Unmarked, probably British, Engraved Brass Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistols with snap bayonets. Circa 1780-1800.

SOLD

Probably made as naval boarding pistols, this large pair measure nearly 12" long. The muzzle measures 1" across which would have made loading easy during battle. The steel ramrods are side mounted. The snap bayonets are activated by pulling back on the trigger guard. The pistols also have sliding hammer safety's and one piece figured walnut grips. The frames are engraved with a trophy of arms motif. A very nice pair of pistols.
