An 8 Gauge Bronze Yacht or Salute Cannon circa 1890 with original cartridge box

Made by one of the best makers of yacht cannons, R. H. Brown & Co., New Haven, CT., circa 1890. The 16" long bronze barrel sits atop an extremely well made reproduction walnut carriage. It comes with what appears to be its' original mahogany cartridge box containing 20 eight gauge paper shotshells (11 primed) and three brass eight gauge shells.
