An American Civil War Era Painted Games Box Dated 1861

A wonderful example of a 19th century civil war era games box dated 1861 with the initials "E J O". The lid has the traditional chess and checker board and the interior has an outstanding red, gold and black backgammon board. The key escutcheon is ivory and the original key exists. Measurements: 19" x 10" x 3"
