An early 19th century carved Scottish "Bobbie Burns" tobacco box circa 1796-1810

The carving on this Scottish tobacco box is simply wonderful and is on all six sides. It features a scene from the life of Bobbie Burns (1759-1796) who is considered Scotland's greatest Scot and national poet of Scotland. Among other things he wrote "Auld Lang Syne" and "Tam O Shanter". The box measures 6" by 3" by 2.25"
