An English percussion 'boot' pistol by William Westley Richards, Gunmaker to Prince Albert, circa 1840-1850.

The photos don't do justice to this very beautiful example! The 'saw' handled walnut grips are finely checkered and are mounted onto an engraved nickel silver frame. The smooth bore .30 cal. barrel measures 11" long and has achieved a lovely gray patina with no pitting. The butt cap features a small lidded compartment for patches. The belt or boot clip retains most of its' original blue steel finish.
