An exceptionally fine 19th century reverse painting on glass of H M S Britannia circa 1865

This is one of the best reverse paintings on glass that I have seen in many years. It also appears to be in its' original bird's eye maple frame which measures 19" by 15". The ship itself was one of the largest in the Royal Navy and carried 120 guns. The ship was launced in 1820 and became a training ship in 1859. She was eventually broken up in 1869.
