An extremely RARE George Washington Inaugural Button from 1789 inscribed "Long Live The President"

"Long Live The President" over "G W" in block letters, is one of the rarer forms known of Washington Inaugural buttons. Although missing its' shank, this wonderful example has not been touched and has achieved a wonderful mellow color and patina. It has been officially graded and certified and is in 'very fine' condition. It is in the large coat button size and measures 34 mm. Within both inscription recesses, the background space has a pebble design instead of being smooth. There are a couple of slight punches to the back but they do not affect its appearance.
