An extremely RARE " View of Boston Harbor presented to JOHN HANCOCK October 1, 1768"

This rare hand-colored print features 20 British warships with the name of each ship along with a cartouche entitled "A Perspective View of Boston Harbor, Island & Men of War and soldiers of the 29th and 14th Regiments, as taken from the end of Long Wharf." Presented to John Hancock Oct. 1, 1768."12.5" by 56.5" Possibly a reprint by Goodspeed's of Boston circa 1904. Provenance: Formerly owned by a direct descendant of Pres. Thomas Jefferson.
