An important pair of Paul Bellardo hand sculpted bookends depicting dolphins circa 1965

Paul Bellardo (1924-2017) was an artist who had a gallery in Provincetown, Mass. He is today recognized for having created wonderful original artwork. In 1965, Walter P. Chrysler purchased 18 of his pieces for inclusion in the permanent collection of the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia.
