An original photograph of the ship Sam Skolfield taken by Nathanial Stebbins in 1884

In its original frame which measures 15" by 12", this rare photo was taken by perhaps the most accomplished ships' photographer in the country, Nathanial Stebbins. The photo shows the ship Sam Skolfield off Minots Light (near Boston) on March 28, 1884, about a year after the ship was launched in Maine.
