Measuring nearly 9" long, these unusually large and heavy silver tablespoons were made by Joseph Foster (1760-1839) who was apprenticed to Benjamin Burt, one of Boston's finest silversmiths of the 18th century. The initials on each spoon are in script and appear to be 'SLT.' The spoons appear to be in almost unused condition with virtually no wear or scratches.
