The backstrap of this historic revolver is engraved "Lt.O.W.Bennett 102 Regt. U.S.C.T." for Orson W. Bennett, a white officer from Michigan who led his colored troops in 17 engagements during the civil war and who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for gallant and meritorious conduct. Accompanying this fine historic revolver is a ring binder containing copies of his military record. Full details of the action in November 1864 which which gained him the Medal of Honor make incredible reading. A detailed condition report is available to prospective purchasers.
