The famous stature of John Harvard was sculpted by Daniel C. French in 1900 and stands in Harvard Yard. This magnificent pair are bronze finish over white metal and have a wonderful brown patina and color. Historical note: Harvard was a clergyman born in London in 1607 and moved to Charlestown, Mass., in 1637. A year later hed died and left half his estate and his entire library to a newly established college. In his honor, it was named HARVARD COLLEGE.
