This world famous monument has as its' centerpiece piece the sculpture done by Daniel C. French circa 1920 of Abraham Lincoln 'sitting in the chair.' Many examples have been made by a multitude of companies but no others have this quality. Although bookends are normally sold in pairs, there is always an exception to the rule. In this case, the example shown has a wonderful old mellow bronze patina and is in excellent condition.
