A fine and Rare 19th century Pressed Horn Snuff Box commemorating a Naval action between the French Admiral Bisson and Greek pirates on November 4, 1827.

Having a 3 1/4" diameter and lined with tortoiseshell, this beautiful pressed horn tobacco box has a rarely found naval scene on the lid with a French naval officer aboard a man-of-war fending off pirates with a sword. Two men are shown falling over board.
