A fine Antique French Napoleonic period brass bound Mahogany Dressing Box circa 1815

As the photos I hope will show, the 'flame' mahogany veneers used to make this box are absolutely stunning. The interior retains its' original purple velvet and purple satin lining. Included is the original mirror fitted to the interior of the lid. The brass escutcheon plate has the origianl owners initials 'E R.' 13 3/4" x 9 1/2" x 5 1/4".
