A stunning and patriotic 19th century sailor-made ladies writing or sewing box circa 1850

This is an absoltely stunning box having been made out of a variety of hardwoods. The lid has the most gorgeous inlaid spread wing eagle with banner that I have ever seen! The interior has a lift-out tray containing 9 wooden lidded compartments and two blue velvet pin cushions. The width of the box is 12 1/2".
