A 19th century cased pocket Barometer, Prismatic Compass and Thermometer circa 1865

This attractive gilt brass instrument comes complete with its' original green velvet lined leather travelling case. The face of the barometer is signed 'The American Trading Company, London' and probably dates to circa 1865-1870. The reverse side of the barometer features a small black and white mother-of-pearl prismatic compass surrounded by a circular mercury filled thermometer. The bevelled glass cover is missing from this side of the instrument. Diameter: 2" Depth: 1".
