A beautiful silver pocket compass made by William Fraser of London, Royal Instrument Maker, circa 1790-1810

SOLD

This little 'gem' was made by William Fraser who worked in London from 1780-1812. He was appointed Royal Instrument Maker to King George III in 1796 and remained so until his death in 1812. The bottom of the case is incribed "Compass owned and used by Capt. Dearborn 1776-1813."
