A fine late 19th century floor standing telescope by Negretti & Zambra, London, circa 1870-1890

Recently completely restored, this fine telescope comes with all its' original component parts and pine carrying case. The oak tripod base also appears to be original to the scope. The optics, having 70 power, are outstanding and provide a sharp and clear image. In terms of measurements, the tripod base when opened measures 55" leg to leg forming a triangle. The height of the scope from the floor is 67" and the length of the scope itself, when fully extended, is also 67". The storage box measures 56 1/2" long. This telescope would grace any home with a view.
